Marie is a tenacious single mother of two who embarked on her journey six years ago. Though the road has been arduous, it has also brought a profound sense of liberation. Through the trials they've faced together, her children have developed an amazing resilience, ready to confront challenges head-on. Marie has witnessed in both of her children a remarkable capacity for empathy, particularly towards those on the fringes of society. They possess a unique ability to identify and connect with individuals who often go unnoticed—a quality that fills her with pride.

Observing the lack of community and support available to single mothers like herself, Marie felt a compelling urge to bridge that gap. Driven by her passion for advocacy and a deep-seated belief in the importance of solidarity, she resolved to create a gathering place specifically tailored to the needs of single moms. Her motivation stems from a heartfelt desire to advocate for those who may not have the time or resources to do so themselves. She is fueled by the conviction that every individual deserves to be seen, heard, and supported, especially during life's most challenging moments.

Meet Heather, a triumphant single mom of three. Heather has faced the complex challenges of being a "married single mother." KT raised two kids on her own for a decade. Working two jobs to make ends meet, she faced financial hardship but maintained a positive outlook, prioritizing open communication with her children. For her, love and involvement in a faith-based community were paramount, providing hope amidst the daily struggles. Remarkably, her kids only recall fond memories of their childhood and today, they are confident adults in successful marriages - a true testament to KT’s determination, love, and hard work.

Believing in the power of community support, she advocates for organizations like Strong Like Mom because she recognizes the transformative impact of such support systems for single moms. KT believes that SLM can provide single moms with the community, encouragement, and tools they need to navigate the challenges of single parenthood. By surrounding themselves with women who understand their struggles and are willing to uplift each other, single moms can become stronger together.
